Training

Proper training is vital in ensuring safe and efficient completion of all tasks. All our staff take part in safety training which includes:

Induction into the Connolly Environmental OHS policy and procedures via the Connolly Environmental OHS Policy and Procedures document.
Instruction and sign-off in use of company vehicles and equipment as a prerequisite to using company vehicles and equipment.
Red Card site safety training by an accredited training provider.
Completion of an appropriate level of first aid training provided by the Red Cross.

Our staff professional development training program includes:

Attendance at briefings, seminars and conferences hosted by professional organisations of which we are members.
Our in-house seminar series. These seminars are hosted by staff and where appropriate by invited guest speakers. The seminars cover topics ranging from technical and professional development topics to government regulations and safety.
Regular attendance at international symposia, workshops, courses and conferences. In the last year 5 staff members have attended highly relevant professional development events in Europe and the United States. Our professional capabilities are directly enhanced by this focussed approach to training.
Regular briefings by our legal advisors, Hassell & Byrne. All staff attend this briefing, one of the main aims of which is to keep us up to date with changes in laws and regulations as they pertain to our business.
Regular review of EPA and other Government newsletters, publications and briefing documents.
